Bailey here — a beautiful 2.5-year-old Labrador Retriever with a big heart, a big smile, and an even bigger love for the great outdoors!<br/><br/>I made the long journey from Chisasibi to Animatch after spending my whole life with one family. Sadly, they no longer had the time to give me the active life I crave. But I’m an optimist through and through, and I know my perfect match is out there.<br/><br/>Like any self-respecting Lab, I’m an energetic, outdoorsy girl. Snow, rain, sunshine — bring it on! If you’re the type of family who’s always up for a hike, a romp in the yard, or exploring new places, we’re already off to a good start.<br/><br/>I get along well with other dogs… as long as they respect the sacred rule: stay out of my food bowl. Sharing kibble is not my strong suit, so supervised mealtimes are a must. Playtime, though? I’m all in!<br/><br/>Because I didn’t get much formal training or leash time in my previous life, I’m still learning the ropes — literally. I may start off pulling like a sled dog, but with patience, training, and consistency, I’ll be the adventure buddy you’ve always wanted. Training classes definitely belong on your “to-do” list for me.<br/><br/>I’m a friendly greeter who likes to say hello with enthusiasm… sometimes a little too much. For that reason, small children aren’t recommended, but older kids who understand active dogs would be a great fit. And cats? Let’s just say I’m a true Northern girl — felines are not on my list of friends.<br/><br/>Also, I take my watchdog duties very seriously. If something moves, I’ll let you know! Apartment or condo living won’t be ideal for me, but a home with space and humans who appreciate my alerting skills will suit me perfectly.<br/><br/>With some guidance and a few finishing touches, I can become the dream dog you’ve been waiting for.
