Babe's Story
**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

This is Babe. He is a male chihuahua around 13 yrs. old and 20 lbs. He was surrendered because his elderly owner was going into a care facility.

Babe really enjoys going on his walks, but also likes to lounge around the house. He might need some patience because he can be very skittish, but he is very sweet. Someone who works from home a lot or is retired would be an ideal situation since he hates being left home alone and needs to be let outside frequently during the day though he could be left in a crate if needed. He'll typically sleep the entire night without needing a potty break. He is just looking for his person so he can be their shadow. He is fine with other dogs and cats (currently lives with 3 other pets), but he does prefer to be with his person.

We are presently not holding our regular Saturday adoption clinics due to the Covid-19 virus. We are operating on a limited basis until further notice, but we are still adopting dogs out. We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
