When this handsome guy arrived as a stray, he was very much a "I'll decide when we're friends" kind of Chow—aloof, cautious, and clear about his boundaries.<br/><br/>And look at him now:<br/>- Comfortable being woken and petted in his crate<br/>- Enjoying full-body pets and belly rubs<br/>- Still head-shy, but increasingly trusting<br/>- Increasingly comfortable coexisting with other dogs—though not a play buddy<br/><br/>For a dog who once guarded his personal space so carefully, these are **huge steps.** There's still more to learn, including his discomfort with some men.
