Meet Axle! He came to Fayette County Animal Shelter after his owner passed away unexpectedly. Sadly, they had no next of kin which meant that Axle had to join us here at the shelter. What we know is limited about Axle, however, he is 100% GSD. We were provided AKC Pedigree documents on intake. We are looking for someone familiar with German Shepherds and their needs. We will be picky as to who he is adopted to because we want the very best for him given all he's been through. Axle will be neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Fayette County Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Those interested in adoption have the option to visit us in person or to view our animals online. Once the potential finds an animal that interests them, whether after meeting in person or online, they will complete an adoption application. The adoption application is then screened by one of our adoption counselors. If approved, we will coordinate an appointment for adoption (usually same day). If not approved, we will work with the applicant to see if there is anything we can do to assist in getting them approved before turning them away. Adopters will pay a set adoption fee. In return, they will adopt their new furry friend and will go home with medical records, a copy of the adoption contract, an adoption packet, and our contact info should they ever need anything.
