Hey! Axel here. How goes it. SO, I came to be at the rescue as a stray. WhenI arrived I was guessed to be approx. 1 to 2 yrs. of age. I have been here now for approx. a year. I weigh approx. 75lbs. I was very puppyish but have mellowed some.<br/><br/>I was having some minor issues with walking on damp cold days. X-rays were done and it was determined when I was younger my hip was dislocated or broken. At this late date it is not able to be repaired. As I age I will need supplement and will probabl;y have arthritis but it does not really slow me down. <br/><br/>I walk pretty well on leash now. Only pulling a little now and then. I need to be walked on a chain-style leash as I think the other kind are tuggy toys. I am not reactive to the other dogs and I think a girlfriend might be nice. I only bark when others are barking and I do not always join in. I am working on my manners. I know how to sit, so that is a start. I will sit and wait for my food. I think I would be just fine with older kids. Cats are a bit scarry to me. If my new family would have cats it would need to be monitored though. <br/><br/>I have a very expressive face. I can smile or look very sad! My two best expressions. I am a very special boy and I am looking for a very special person! It would be so nice to have a new forever family. I would love to be your companion and we can curl up by the fire and eat popcorn, read a book, listen to nice music or just do nothing at all. What do you say?
