Meet Axel — a 3-year-old Labrador mix with a heart full of love. Axel has come a long way since arriving at Macomb County Animal Control, and he’s ready to find the family he’s been waiting for. These days, Axel is a happy, playful boy who absolutely loves spending time with his people. He thrives on attention and affection and will gladly soak up all the pets and belly rubs you’re willing to give. One of Axel’s favorite things is being outside. Whether he’s going for a walk, exploring new smells, or running around the yard, he’s always up for an adventure. He’s also very treat-motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training and bonding with his future family. Axel enjoys playing with other dogs and would likely do well with a canine companion who can match his playful energy. While Axel is doing great with staff and volunteers, shelter life is starting to get a little tough for him. He’s ready for a home of his own where he can stretch his legs, relax, and be part of a family. The good news? Axel’s adoption fee is SPONSORED!
