Axle is about 18 months old, about 65 lbs. and looking for a home that can keep him active and meet his needs. We're hoping for someone familiar with the husky and/or German Shepherd breeds. Axle is a friendly boy who gets along with the resident dog in his foster home and loves the 9- and 13-year-old kids there too! He’s got some basic commands down and is working on others. He’s not a fan of a crate or being left behind. We are working on positive associations with the crate and taking him along on more adventures. He’s starting to learn from the resident dog that it’s ok to be left behind for short spurts. Ideally, he’d do best where he’s getting regular exercise and has someone home most of the time or can go and do with his person as much as possible. He’s house trained and has proven trustworthy lose in the house overnight when someone is home. Axle is neutered and vaccinated.
