Avie

Avie came to us from a shelter that was flooded by storms almost a year ago. She was there with her six puppies, all of whom have since been adopted and just celebrated their first birthday. Avie is already a GREAT dog—the only thing she's missing is a permanent home. She is loving and well-mannered and enjoys being with her people, but not in an overbearing way. She is a complete sweetheart who greets you with full-body wiggles and enjoys snuggling and belly rubs/pets. She loves children—she is affectionate and gentle with them. She also loves other dogs—she plays well with them and is friendly when meeting new dogs. Avie is housebroken and crate trained, though she sleeps out of her crate at night with no accidents or destructive behavior. She knows “sit, she fetches, and she is learning additional commands as well—Avie is very intelligent and eager to please. She walks beautifully on a leash with her foster brothers and enjoys playing outdoors with her foster family. Avie can be a bit shy when she first meets you, but with a canine sibling to help guide her and a bit of patience, she will blossom into the most loyal and sweet pup you could possibly ask for.
