Avery's Story

AN INQUIRY FROM PETFINDER IS NOT AN APPLICATION! READ THE ENTIRE POST FOR INFORMATION HOW TO APPLY.

Meet Avery! Avery is a 5-7 year old female corgi and she weighs about 23 pounds. Avery arrived in rescue after coming from a home with too many pups that could no longer care for her. She has settled into foster care nicely and her foster dad said she would like to introduce herself! "Herrrrrro, my name is Avery. I’m a super sweet and friendly little girl. I have a laid back and “chill” personality and I’m not a big fan of toys, but I love attention from my human and playing with other dogs! As a herding breed, I love to run and romp. Although I like attention and being close to my humans, I am not a lap dog...I prefer to sit next to you while you rub/pet me, very very typical for a corgi. I am crate and potty trained (on a schedule) and get along great with older kids and other dogs. I am not a fan of the leash, so a fenced yard is a must for me! Oh, and fun fact about me….I have heterochromia. So if you’re looking for a gentle, loyal and loving new family member, you should definitely pick me!"

Avery is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had her teeth cleaned.

Avery is fostered in the Orlando area and her adoption donation is $475. If you are interested in applying to adopt Avery, please visit www.floridalittledogrescue.com to read the adoption process and complete an application! Please note that emails simply asking "Is this dog available" will not be returned, as applications are worked in the order received and availability largely depends on when you apply:) Please also know we do not adopt out of state! Thank you!
