Ava's Story

Ava is a loud, fun loving goofball who loves to make you laugh. Her foster mom calls her “The Big Mouth Red Head.” She is a year old and super playful. She loves to meet new people and give kisses and is learning to be polite when she makes new human friends. She sometimes has a bit of stranger danger and is working on not barking at new people. Ava will greet you with SO much excitement when you come home. She will let everyone near and far hear just how happy she is to have you back. She is a water bug and loves the water! Ava is potty trained and has done well left out alone in the house! She does ok in a crate if she can see you. She loves to entertain herself with rope toys. She is great with fetch! She loves to snuggle and prefers to sleep under the blankets with you. All foster mom has to do is lift up the blankets and Ava will crawl right in. Ava is great with dogs, and she even likes cats and kids! Because she’s an excited girl and can be a bit mouthy, children older than 5 may be best. She has been doing well on a leash and should continue practicing in her forever home. Ava would love a big yard to run around in!

Please email dogs@peoplehelpingpaws.org or message us on Facebook if you are interested in adopting Ava. We do not check our petfinder messages.
