She is extremely playful and would love to have a buddy in the home. She takes direction well from older dogs in the home.<br/><br/>Is your dog good with cats: Untested, but would likely do well with slow and supervised introductions. She hasn’t exhibited any prey drive, only curiosity.<br/><br/>Foster Location: Kanata<br/><br/>Is your dog good with kids: Autumn currently lives with children, and has many other children visit often. She is super playful with children but she can occasionally puppy nip, but does well with redirection with appropriate dog toys. She also doesn’t quite understand personal space, so she can be jumpy with loud children as it makes her excited. She is still having accidents at night. She does not mess in her crate.<br/><br/>Is your dog crate trained: Yes! She will happily go into the crate with treats. She will occasionally whine if she’s in the crate and she sees you in the same room but when left without humans she is amazing in the crate.<br/><br/>Does your dog have any special needs or medical conditions? Yes, Autumn has struggled with some medical conditions that we'd need to explain. She is currently doing very well, and does have a great quality of life. She will find a way to be as close to you as she can.<br/><br/>Does your dog know basic commands: She knows her name and usually comes when called. Recall depends on the amount of fun she is having. She is a happy go lucky dog that will go with the flow, but also takes direction well with ongoing training. She just loves to be outside, whether it’s a walk around the neighbourhood or zooming around the backyard with her pup pals. She still nips occasionally when she wants your attention or needs to release some energy but she does well with redirection and mental/physical enrichment. Autumn absolutely loves to be with the humans at all times, and also as close as possible. She is very much a lap dog and loves to be beside (or on top of) her people. She can make herself comfortable anywhere just to be close to you. Autumn is very smart and is highly treat motivated. Between her loyalty and her quick learning, Autumn will thrive in a home that can continue training.
