*PLEASE NOTE: We do not adopt out on a first-come/first-serve basis. Applications are accepted for a puppy and then a home check is scheduled. My name is Aurora, and I am the most adorable pup in town! At least that's what my fosters have told me! I am a gorgeous pup with the most adorable fold-over ears and have the perfect playful puppy energy! I enjoy wrestling with my foster fur siblings, but am happy to play by myself. In fact, I will gather all my toys (the dragon is my fav!) and keep myself entertained. Who knew, but I found romping in the snow to be delightful! Not as delightful as snuggling with my foster Mom or fur siblings, but still delightful! I sleep the night away in my crate and am content to be there when I need to be left alone. But when the people are home, I will follow you wherever you might go and hang around while you cook. I am working hard at mastering all my home life skills, and with continued training, I will be the very best new member of the family! If you would like to meet me, please fill out a preadoption application, and a CDR volunteer will get back to you just as quickly as they can! Sweet puppy kisses and warm cuddles-Aurora **The ADOPTION FEE for this pet is $525 which includes getting the puppy/dog up to date on rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccines, fecal test and deworming if necessary, heartworm test, spay or neuter (not including pre-surgical bloodwork) and a microchip. Free access to our weekly training classes is also included for the life of the dog, something no other rescue in the area offers.*

Chicagoland Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy

First step is to decide if you are ready for a long term commitment owning a dog. Ask yourself if you are ready for vet bills, cost of food, training the dog, and what would happen to him/her if you became ill. Once you have decided you are ready for the commitment, the next step is to come to an adoption show and meet the dog you are interested in. Sometimes people fall in love with a picture, only to find another dog at the show better suits what they are looking for. Please remember to bring all family members, including dog(s), who live at the home to meet the new dog. We do not adopt out dogs as gifts.
