Augusta Georgia Peach's Story
Augusta was found in a parking lot covered in urine burns and caked in feces in downtown Augusta, GA at 6 weeks of age.

When she was 6 weeks she joined our rescue after a Good Samaritan reached out for help after finding her and has been happily with us since.

Augusta is a 3 year old female, chihuahua mix, who has a beautiful speckled short coat.

We believe all dogs are special. Augusta is just not special she is so much more. She deserves the moon and stars and we promised we will give that to her no matter how long it takes.

Augusta was born blind. This does not set her back one bit. She is able to map out her surroundings with ease and is a pretty confident little girl.

She may not be able to see the world around her, but she feels it in the most extraordinary ways — through the kindness of gentle hands, the warmth of a cozy bed, and the love that surrounds her. Oh and treats! Big foodie right here!

She walks GREAT on a leash as long as you talk to her and let her know you’re there every step of the way.

She is a sweet and silly girl. She loves to do everything your average dog does. She is a CPR favorite and for good reason!

Her only vice is that she isn’t perfect when it comes to potty training. She will have accidents. She needs time, patience, and lots of reassurance. She is a great girl and full of so much LOVE! We hope you see what we see. Underneath the disabilities and imperfections is an amazing, sweet, and loving girl.

Augusta gets along with other dogs, cats, and kids. Please keep in mind she likes to stay close to her person and will follow you around right on your heels! Who needs personal space when you have your very own Augusta Georgia Peach?

A fenced in yard is required. No doggie doors or electric fencing please!

Augusta is looking for a home that sees with the heart — someone patient and kind who understands that disabilities don’t define worth. Could that be you?

Adoption fee of $450 includes:
-yearly vaccine
-rabies vaccine
-bortadella vaccine
-microchipped
-worm and parasite treated and tested
-heartworm tested negative
-spayed
-up to date on flea, tick and heartworm monthly preventions

If you are interested in adoption please follow the link to our application

https://form.jotform.com/232038657316154

Please send photos of your home and yard-everywhere the dog would have access to to:

Caninepawsabilitiessc@gmail.com
