Auggie's Story
Meet Auggie – The Sweetest Little Gentleman Looking for His Forever Home!
Everyone, say hello to Auggie!
This handsome 22lb corgi is about 6–7 years old and has a heart as big as his smile. Auggie’s had a rough start in life, but you’d never know it from how gentle and loving he is. He’s a mild-mannered, timid little guy who’s slowly learning that the world can be a kind and cozy place.
Auggie tends to be more comfortable around women but does fine with anyone who shows him patience and love. He’s done well with dogs near his size and enjoys their company, though big dogs can make him a little nervous. We’re not sure how he feels about cats, but we think he’d likely do okay.
A few of Auggie’s best qualities:
Fully vetted, neutered, and up to date on all vaccines and preventatives
House-trained for the most part (though he’s still working on not marking indoors—he’s recently neutered, so we expect improvement!) *adopter must be okay with his marking and willing to work on it*
Crate-trained and can sleep through the night like a champ. Has done great sleeping in or out of kennel at night.
Quiet and calm, but still gets the cutest little zoomies now and then
Loves treats and following his person around
Doesn’t know quite what to do with toys yet—but with love and time, he just might learn!
Since he is a little timid and nervous little unpredictable kids may be too much, but older respectful kiddos would be okay!
Because Auggie isn’t fond of collars and leashes, he’ll do best with a secure fenced yard or a home where someone can supervise him outdoors. He’s been known to go on a few solo “adventures,” so safety is a must! This is something his new home can work with him on.
Auggie is truly a sweetheart who just wants to be near his person. He’s ready to find a calm, loving home where he can feel safe and cherished for the rest of his days.
Adoption is free, but a meet and greet is required—we’ll bring him right to your home to make sure it’s the perfect fit.
If you think Auggie might be your new best friend, please reach out to Michaela at 660-723-5010 (call or text).
Let’s help this sweet boy find the gentle, happy life he deserves!
