AUDEMARS's Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.AUDEMARS hails from the Northern community of Poplar Hill and came south with his mum and (Luminox) and siblings (Hublot, Fossil and Zodiac) to find his forever family. He’s received his first set of vaccines, a microchip, dewormer and been deemed a healthy boy by his vet. His mum weighs approximately 38lbs/17kgs and she’s a white Husky mix but we have no info on the father although we are guessing dad was a Lab due to the colouring and temperament of the puppies. He’s the most cautious out of the Watch Litter but that doesn’t mean he isn’t down for adventure. He’s always been a little more hesitant to join in their hijnks but once he’s confident it’s okay and he’ll be so, so brave. He loves people and is always looking for his foster parents while his siblings are busy playing.

AUDEMARS is crate trained and sleeps quietly in it at night and will also nap in it during the day too. House training is going well and most times he does do his bathroom breaks outside but if his cue is missed then he’ll go on a pee pad to learn to go on. He loves going on his walks and gets excited when he knows he’s going on one. He’s noted as having erect ears but they seem to have a mind of their own right now and will go up, sideways or down, they just haven’t decided which way is best yet. He’s quite food motivated so we recommend he use a slow feeder and he be fed in his crate. He’s been very easy to train due to his love of food and he already will “sit” and “stay” for his meals and will take treats “gentle.”

AUDEMARS ideal family would be an active one that loves to go on hikes and walks in the woods. He does well in a vehicle so will always be up for a drive and especially if it leads to an adventure for him. He should do well in a home with another dog seeing as he’s a puppy and and he has two medium sized dogs in his foster home. There is a cat in his foster home too but he hasn’t had too much interaction with him so if there’s one in the home that’s dog savvy then they should get along. We always recommend a slow and monitored introduction to other animals in the home while the puppy is kept leashed. He should do well as an only pet in the home provided he’s not left alone for long periods of time. Children should be aged 6yrs and up plus be loving and gentle towards animals. He does require a fenced-in yard so he can be kept safe while he has a run around and play.

Puppies are cute, playful and fun but also require a lot of time, patience and dedication to training. We do need his adopter to be in agreement to take him for puppy/obedience training to help him to become the best boy possible. His neuter is included in his adoption fee and his potential adopter must be in agreement to have him neutered by the time he’s 9 months of age or 60lbs (whichever comes first.) The surgery will be at the Barrie SPCA but you can use your own vet and we’ll reimburse you what we would’ve paid for it there. In order for the rescue to do so we need the neuter requirements to still be followed plus a copy of the procedure invoice and a picture of him (preferably in a cone) in order to do the reimbursement. We do post the picture on our fb page along with other pets that were “fixed” in the same week.

If AUDEMARS sounds like he’ll suit your family and lifestyle then please submit an adoption application to meet him.
