Atlas's Story

ATTENTION: All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs. If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application. We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt.

// // Meet Atlas! Atlas is a 2-year-old, 13-lb Chihuahua mix with a loving, gentle heart. He absolutely adores cuddles and would be happiest snuggled up close to his person, especially at bedtime, where he loves sleeping nearby and feeling safe. Atlas does well with other dogs once he has time to warm up, but he can be shy and nervous when first meeting new dogs or people. With patience and reassurance, he builds trust and blossoms into a loyal, affectionate companion. He does fine with kids after he gets comfortable and learns they’re friends. This sweet boy also has a playful side, he enjoys toys, still has a bit of that puppy-like chewing energy, and is now potty trained. Atlas is looking for a calm, loving home that will give him time to feel secure and continue building his confidence. Once he knows he’s safe, he’ll reward you with endless love, cuddles, and devotion. He is microchipped and up to date on all his vaccines. His adoption fee is $300.

All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.

Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog.
