This lucky pup has spent the past two months in an intensive training program with Retrieving Independence (a Nashville-based nonprofit that trains service dogs in a prison-based program), where he learned foundational skills: housebreaking, crate training, leash manners, socialization, basic cues and more.<br/><br/>That means Atlas’ future family gets to enjoy all the fun parts of puppyhood—playtime, adventures, and bonding—without the stress of starting from scratch. He already has a strong foundation, and upon adoption, his family will be given a list of the specific cues he has mastered so they can keep his training consistent at home.<br/><br/>Atlas is friendly, eager to please, and ready to keep learning as he grows.
