Atlas's Story

Atlas :) What a stunner! I can literally stare at him all day. That face, that smile - everything about Atlas is just perfect. And the best part? Atlas is super affectionate. He likes to sneak in kisses when you are not watching or least expect it. This boy dont play. He kisses right on the lips. He loves attention and pets. He is happiest when he is in your lap or beside you, taking in the scenery and everything around him. Atlas likes to stay close to his humans. He listens very well, too. He comes when called. Atlas walks well on a leash. He is very interested in his surroundings and walks mostly with his nose to the ground, taking in all the smells :) Atlas takes treats gently and nicely. A true gentleman :) Overall, Atlas is a mellow, chill, quiet, medium energy guy. That said, he can get overstimulated quickly. He gets silly and nippy when overstimulated, much like a puppy. What a dork.

Atlas is 2.5 years old, 54lb Staffy. He is looking for a relatively quiet home where he can be a companion to his humans. A home with an enclosed yard and older children is preferred. Atlas is wonderful with people and dogs.

Buckeye's Mission's Adoption Policy
Meet and Greet with our adoptable dogs are by appointment only. An application must be completed prior to the meet and greet. The application gives us some background information on the family. It enables us to do compatibility screenings to match you up with the best fit dog and vice versa. Some of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes. Meet and greets will be at our sanctuary unless it is in the best interest of the dog to meet at the foster home. To meet any of our adoptable dogs please email your application to buckeyethepittie@gmail.com to set up an appointment. Please note that submitting an application for a dog does not guarantee that you will be approved to adopt that dog. Buckeye's reserves the right to approve or reject any application, for any reason, including but not limited to, judgement of the application, home situation, routine, safety, health, or the dog not being compatible to the applicant. Furthermore, there may be other applicants for the same dog. The best match for the dog and applicant will be made, regardless of order of application received or meet conducted. Adoption fees range from $350-$500 (more, on some occasions and less, if the dog has sponsorship). It covers core vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and spay/neuter surgery.
