Atlas's Story
Thanks to the generosity of FOPAS Volunteer Jan Long, Atlas’s adoption fee is paid. Now to find a family who will love Atlas as much as we do!

Atlas is a volunteer favorite! He’s a big ‘ol lovable lug who thinks he’s a lapdog. We’re guessing he’s a Lab mix and his approximate DOB is July, 2022.
Atlas is housebroken, enjoys people, walks well on a leash, and loves long walks with our volunteers. His future family should know that he has a high prey drive, so he requires a home without small animals. Due to his size and strength, he would be best suited for older children. Atlas is happy with every person he has met. He is, however, dog selective and will require a meet-and-greet with any dogs in the home. Better yet, consider Atlas as your one and only! While he isn’t a “dog park dog” our buddy always has a smile and a tail wag ready for his people.
Due to his recent ear ablation surgery to relieve a chronic issue, Atlas is now deaf in one ear. He came through with flying colors and is feeling so much better. Through it all (before, during, and after his surgery), Atlas kept his happy disposition. Yes, he is absolutely that good.

If you can handle a large/strong dog and are looking for a happy and affectionate companion, please submit your application, and a volunteer will be in touch. Remember, his adoption fee is already paid!

https://www.parkvilleshelter.com/adoption-application

FOPAS is primarily run by volunteers who are passionate about animal welfare and are dedicated to our animals for their entire lives. As such, we screen all potential adopters and strive to match each adopter with the perfect fit for their lifestyle and activity level.

All adopters must live within a 4 hour drive of Parkville, Missouri.
