Athena May's Story

Athena May who was found as a stray in Moose Lake city park earlier this summer who has
been waiting SIX months to find her home.
Athena is a 2ish year old Beagle/Pittie mix (our best guess!) She is as adorable as she is athletic! Petite, spunky, and full of personality, Athena is the kind of pup who's always ready for adventure. She loves hiking, car rides, and walks-- where she shines with her great leash manners. Athena is a toy enthusiast who can entertain herself rolling around with her favorite squeaky, or happily share playtime with her doggy friends (though she prefers to keep her treasures to herself sometimes. We would NOT advise giving her access to your bank account or who knows how many Chewy and Amazon packages would show up at your door.
Does she have energy? Yes, we are not gonna hold back. She does not need any caffeine to jump start her morning. We might be a little jealous. She's smart. She's cute. She's cuddly and affectionate. She's READY! Although she's in a foster home with cats we strongly recommend for her to be adopted into a home without cats. They just look like a toy to her and 9 out of 10 cats surveyed said: "NOT a fan of this".
She would do best in a home with kids 10 and up. She really likes kids, but living with them 24/7 just isn't for everyone, ya know?! Turn in your application today to set up a time to meet this girl. She is eligible for foster to adopt to set her up for success with supports.
