Athena 's Story

Meet Athena! Athena is a 5yr old Boxer who came to our shelter as a stray. While initially fearful and reserved, through time and patience Athena warmed up and showed her true goofy personality! Athena enjoys playing fetch, running in the yard with her shelter pals but is just as happy to curl and take a nap next to her favorite person. Athena has passed her behavioral assessment with no food or toy guarding issues. She will do best in an experienced home with children 12+. Athena is spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped!

Huntington Shelter and Adoption Center's Adoption Policy

Our goal at the Huntington Animal Shelter is to find the perfect match between our animals and future pet owners. All of our pets are up to date on their rabies shots and are spayed/neutered, licensed, and microchipped, before leaving the shelter. The adoption fee is $103.50. We are open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Contact the shelter at: 631-754-8722 Take Pulaski Road to Deposit Road, which is located between Old Bridge and Town Line Roads. The Shelter is at the end of Deposit Road, number 106.
