Athena's Story

Meet Athena!

Athena is a beautiful 2-ish year-old pittie mix (approximate birthdate of 1/24/24) weighing about 37 pounds, with a heart just as big as her smile. Despite a rough start in life, Athena hasn’t let anything dim her spirit—she’s incredibly loving, resilient, and ready to find her forever home.

This sweet girl is a total cuddlebug who adores her people and thrives on affection. She’s also a big fan of other dogs—maybe too big of a fan! Athena loves to shower her canine friends with kisses, so she’ll do best with tolerant, playful pups who don’t mind her enthusiastic love. She hasn’t met a dog she doesn’t like yet!

Athena is a happy, energetic girl who will need regular exercise and playtime to keep her at her best. Because she can get a little mouthy when excited, she would do best in a home with older children. She is not a good fit for homes with cats.

One of Athena’s most endearing traits is her constantly wagging tail—she’s so happy that she actually developed “happy tail” and needed part of her tail amputated. Don’t worry though, it hasn’t slowed her down one bit—it just means even more wiggles packed into a smaller space!

Athena is spayed, up to date on all her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. All she’s missing is a loving home to call her own. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and fun-loving best friend, Athena is your girl. 💛

To meet Athena, please head to www.pettalesrescue.com and fill out an application today!

Athena's minimum adoption donation is $300 payable via Venmo, PayPal ($10 fee added), or Cash.
