She is playful, affectionate, and loves discovering the world around her.

Astrid is learning to enjoy her crate and already uses it as her favorite spot for toy time and naps. At night, though, she would much rather snuggle up with a human or a furry friend. She loves going on walks and is still getting used to the leash. Sometimes she gives it a playful nibble, but she listens well when told “leave it.” If she gets a little tired or overwhelmed, she simply sits down to take a break and watch the world go by.

She has recently discovered the joy of fetch and even had her first case of the zoomies. Potty training is still a work in progress, but Astrid is a quick learner and highly motivated by treats.

Astrid can be a little shy at first, but she is very friendly with other dogs and absolutely loves cuddles. She has not yet been home alone and can feel nervous when people leave her sight, so she will do best with a family who can help her continue building confidence and feeling safe.

Astrid is being fostered in Bel Air, MD.

PLEASE READ:
Any dog that is house or potty trained will still need patience in a new home with new people and a new schedule.
