Aster's Story
Meet Aster, a 6-month old Australian Cattle Dog mix from Alabama. Aster is spunky, athletic, and smart. He is very handsome with chocolate brown and white speckles, big upright ears, and long legs for all the running he enjoys doing. He is shy with new folks, but give it a day or two and he will be your best friend. He is a smart and opinionated young man who loves playing with other dogs. He sometimes plays a little rough with smaller dogs, but in no way aggressive, he just gets so excited about his play time as if each moment would last forever. He loves his leash walks and has a blast playing with his pals in the yard. We expect him to be between 40-55 pounds fully grown. Aster would do well in a home with a yard to run in and a family with an active lifestyle. He is still young, so he will need some training (just like any young pup does). With a little time and patience from you he will learn in no time. Australian Cattle Dogs are true-blue loyalists, famously smart, tenacious, ever alert, and may be wary of strangers. It is recommended that ACD owners participate in some sport or regular exercise to keep the dog mentally and physically fit.
