Aspen's Story
Aspen is such a handsome, goofy, silly, wooley Husky, who has been misunderstood, and passed around too many times in his short 3 years of life. He is well mannered and knows commands and weighs about 65 lbs. People got him as a cute fluffy puppy, and had no idea what a Husky is actually like. So after about a year, he was passed on to another family, with the same end result, due to thier lack of dog/Husky experience. He ended up a a shelter, then another inexperienced type of home with no fenced yard, so he took off. This poor guy is just the best. Typical Husky who needs an experienced Husky home and a fenced yard . He is SO friendly and social and such an incredible boy, whose stunning looks have landed him in all the wrong homes. He is great with people and most dogs (no cats). He is so handsome and loving and gentle, and great in the car. Aspen does have that Husky stubborn streak at times, so again, breed experience and a fenced yard are a must. Please, come meet Aspen and let your home be his forever home - he is so ready and so deserves the best home ever. (Fostered in PA - We do not text) (If you do not hear back from us within about 6 hours, send us your phone number, for there is clearly something wrong with your email!) Dog's Best Friend Adoption Center utilizes an adoption application and screening process. We require personal and vet references and a home check made prior to adopting one of our dogs. All of our dogs are companion animals that must be kept inside the house with the rest of the family members. All of our dogs are temperament tested, well mannered, and know some basic commands ~ they are worked with daily, as someone is always here with them. All of our dogs do well with other dogs and many do well with cats. Adoption are usually $595, depending on breed, age, size, vetting, and training of the dog (some pure bred or tiny dog fees are higher; older dogs or special needs dogs are much lower). This donation helps to pay for shots, de-wormings, spays, neuters, flea protection, heartworm/Lyme testing, treatments, transport fees, and other vetting/issues that might be needed, for dogs in our care. Dog's Best Friend dogs truly make wonderful family pets. Please email us for an application. (If you email us and do not hear back from us within 24 hours, please try again, as we most likely did not receive your email!) (Also note that many of our dogs are fostered just across the border into PA)
