Meet Aspen! <br/>DOB: 3/21/2021<br/><br/>Aspen is a true shelter favorite and a dog who has captured the hearts of everyone who meets him. This handsome guy is a total love bug with a gentle soul, and he’s now patiently waiting for the forever home he truly deserves.<br/><br/>Aspen has spent time in the shelter, was adopted, and unfortunately returned due to a food allergy—but with the right care, he is doing great. Aspen is currently on a daily medication for itching, which he takes without issue, and a prescription diet that he happily eats twice a day. These will need to be continued indefinitely, as they have significantly improved his skin condition and overall comfort. We are hopeful to find a committed, loving home that will continue this routine and help Aspen thrive.<br/><br/>Aspen is kennel trained, potty trained, and does well on leash and walks. He is wonderful with children and has a calm, affectionate nature that makes him an absolute joy to be around. One of his most endearing traits? Aspen gives the best hugs on command—a talent that has made him a fast favorite among shelter staff and volunteers.<br/><br/>Aspen would need to be the only pet in the home, as he would not do well living with other dogs or cats. Eastshore Humane Association's Adoption Policy
Being a small, private business, we ask for your patience once you send in an application. We usually will be in contact within a week. You are required to meet the animal(s) you are considering. Make sure to release records with any vet clinic you list on the application, if you don't, this will stall processing. Once approved, you will be contacted to schedule any following steps. Cats will be scheduled quickly while dogs take a while to comply to WI laws. We will explain as your adoption is approved.
