Aspen's Story

Aspen is a sweet, playful girl who is ready to shower her forever family with unconditional love. She enjoys being around other dogs and does well with them, but she will need to be fed separately since she tends to guard her food. Aspen walks fairly well on a leash and would love a home where she can continue to practice and explore with her people by her side. Car rides are not fun for her and she would do best in a home that she doesn't have to travel much in.
If you're looking for a fun, loving companion, come meet Aspen-you just might find your perfect match!
Aspen is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and heartworm negative and on prevention.

Erath County Humane Society's Adoption Policy
When someone comes in wanting to adopt, we first ask what they are looking for in a new pet. If they can describe what they are looking for, we will make some suggestions based on that criteria, and then let them go through the shelter looking at the adoptable animals. There are kennel cards on each kennel with information specific to that animal. Once they find an animal they are interested in we do a meet and greet with the person interested in adopting. If they have other pets, we recommend a meet and greet with current pets as well. Whatever animal the potential adopter chooses, we highly suggest a 5 day foster period to make sure the animal and the adopter are a good fit.
