With the right guidance and continued training, he is going to make an exceptional lifelong companion.<br/><br/>Ideal Forever Home for Asher<br/><br/>Because of his breed mix and personality, we are looking for a home that can provide both the physical exercise and mental enrichment he needs to thrive.<br/><br/>His ideal family will have:<br/><br/>-An active family committed to daily walks, playtime, adventures, and exercise.<br/><br/>-A commitment to providing daily mental stimulation, including puzzle toys, food enrichment, obedience training, scent work, trick training, or other activities that challenge his brilliant mind.<br/><br/>-A commitment to positive, reward-based training using patience, consistency, praise, and structure. Harsh training methods are not appropriate for Asher.<br/><br/>-A playful, well-mannered medium-sized dog who enjoys somewhat rough play (which can be typical of Ashers breed mix), and also has the patience to help teach a young puppy appropriate canine manners.<br/><br/>-Children 7-8 years of age and older. Like many herding breeds, Asher may instinctively try to herd running children by gently nipping at heels or clothing.
