Asher's Story
Hi Friends! My name is Asher! Sometimes the shelter team will call me Asher-Dasher because I love to run and play!

A little bit about me, I’m a 1-year-old, medium mixed breed gent weighing in at roughly 50lbs. I’ve been vaccinated, microchipped, and pretty soon I’ll be getting sterilized. I know 50lbs sounds tall, but I’m actually kind of a low rider. The staff isn’t sure what I’m mixed with, but we all agree that I’m absolutely adorable!

I showed up at the shelter, because I was found running as a stray here in Crawford County - and unfortunately no one ever showed up to claim me. That’s okay, because I am enjoying time at the shelter with my new friends as I wait for my furever home.

I think my ideal home would be with a family that can help me work on all the things I didn’t learn as a puppy. Leash manners, proper play, and probably potty training. I would probably do okay living with another dog if I got to meet them first and we hit it off. I’m not sure how I’d do living with cats - maybe with a proper introduction and time to adjust I’d learn to cohabitate with a kitty. I would probably need a home with older children as I’m still a puppy and I have manners I need to work on. I would need kids that are stable on their feet and can help teach me only good things.

If you’d like to meet me - stop by the shelter Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm, or if you have any questions about me - reach out to my friends at AVASCares2@gmail.com or by phone at 989-348-4117. Hope we get to meet soon!
