Arya's Story
Arya was adopted from CVHS as a young puppy, and is back with us now because of conflicts with the cats in the home.

Arya is a young, energetic, happy, and loving dog. She enjoys playing fetch, and also loves to cuddle. She lived with children previously, and loved playing with them, though she may sometimes get a little mouthy when she's excited, so dog-savvy kids would be best. Her previous owner worked from home, so Arya would prefer another person she could spend every minute with, and she does get anxious when left alone. She loves to go for walks, and walks very well on leash. She can be nervous meeting new people, so she may need a potential adopter to meet her a few times here before officially adopting.

Arya lived with other large dogs and supposedly did well with them. What we are seeing with Arya at the adoption center is she is very nervous with other dogs, and we have not had success with her finding a dog companion that she wants to coexist with. She does not appear at this time to be a dog who could have playdates at a dog park, and she should not live with dogs, cats, or other small animals.

If you know and love the German Shepherd breed, Arya will fill your heart with all those endearing classic traits.

A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Arya's $350.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about her, and to determine if you should meet Arya.
