Hi, I'm Aruba, and I'm hoping my forever family is out there.

Not long ago, my siblings and I were dumped in the middle of the desert and left to survive on our own. We were only babies. The sun was relentless, we were covered in fleas, and we were suffering from demodectic mange (the non-contagious kind). We were scared, hungry, and far too young to understand why no one wanted us.

Animal Control was able to rescue some of my siblings, but my sister and I were nowhere to be found.

Most people would have assumed the worst.

But the incredible Animal Control officer refused to stop looking. Day after day, for an entire week, she returned to the same area hoping she would find us alive.

And she did!

My sister and I were curled up together in a ditch, weak, frightened, and simply trying to survive. We had been waiting... hoping someone would come back for us.

Because that officer never gave up

And she did!

My sister and I were curled up together in a ditch, weak, frightened, and simply trying to survive. We had been waiting... hoping someone would come back for us.

Because that officer never gave up, we were given a second chance.

With shelters overflowing, Animal Control knew we needed more medical care than the shelter could provide, so she reached out to Bullies and Buddies Rescue.

Thankfully, they opened their hearts and said YES.

Today, I'm about 14 weeks old and a Am Staff/Pit Bull mix with the sweetest personality you could imagine. My skin is healing, my fu
