First step is to fill out an adoption application, we check vet references; previous pets spayed/neutered, vaccinated, kept on heartworm meds. If adopter has a current dog, we do a meet and greet on neutral ground, and lastly is a home check; ensures the current dog is comfortable with the new dog.
