Arthur is ready to work for your love! Looking for a puppy who is as smart as he is cute? Meet Arthur! This 4-month-old Chihuahua mix is a fast learner who knows that "good boys" get the best treats. By applying to adopt, you'll participate in our foster-to-adopt program! Arthur is currently 5 lbs of potential. He's looking for an adopter who is excited about the "puppy phase"—someone ready to help him master his leash skills, crate training, and house manners. Because he is so food-motivated, he's going to be the star of his training class! The Arthur Lowdown: Personality: Sweet, gentle, and a total "star pupil" in the making. Training: He is highly food-motivated and at the perfect age to start his puppy education! Arrival Details: He'll be ready for pick-up early AM at JFK or later that day in Manhattan on Wednesday, January 7 (1/7). Arthur is available to be adopted independently (though his sister Pepper is also making the trip!). Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, heartworm negative, microchipped and neutered. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. To apply for Arthur, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue's Adoption Policy

Thank you for considering adopting one of our Waggytails! Adopting from us is a simple 3 step process! STEP 1: Download and complete an adoption application (www.waggytailrescue.org) and email to adopt@waggytailrescur.org. Applications will be reviewed by us and if approved we will put you in contact with the animal's foster who will answer any questions you may have and check your references. Incomplete applications cannot be considered. STEP 2: The meet and greet, a chance for you and your other family members (human and non-human) to meet your potential new Waggytail! This is the time to determine whether a dog's personality is a match for your whole family and other animals, and to see if you have allergies. Please don't wait until after adopting to really touch and handle a dog, skip the antihistamines and get those allergens all over you now! STEP 3: You love the dog! To finalize an adoption, fill out and sign the TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP AGREEMENT (www.waggytailrescue.org) and use Paypal, Venmo or a check for the Adoption Fee (see details below). Dog Adoption/Donation Fees $550 for puppies under 1 year $450 for dogs 1 to 8 years $325 for seniors over 9 years of age Cat Adoption/Donation Fees for all cats $175 *Kittens under 6 months old MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another playful cat.* adoption fee includes microchip registration, age-appropriate vaccines, and spay/neuter *Add $100 neuter deposit for unfixed animals. The ADOPTION FEE may be paid by Venmo (@WaggytailRescue) or Paypal (waggytailrescue@gmail.com, add $15 processing fee unless using Friends & Family option). Please put the name of the dog in the memo section! Electronic payment is preferred, but you may also pay by check (payable to Waggytail Rescue). We use Petstablished to manage our adoption records. After an adoption is finalized, you will be sent login information that gives you access to your new dog's profile and medical records!
