Arthur's Story
Meet Arthur — the easiest foster dog his foster parents have ever had!

Arthur is an approximately 2-year-old, 14-lb mixed breed whose DNA says Chihuahua, Dachshund, Poodle, and Rat Terrier… but his heart says “professional snuggler.” This little guy is the complete package.

Arthur is a dream on leash, enjoys walks, and does great with both dogs and cats. He doesn’t need furry friends in his home though — he’s perfectly content being the center of attention for his people. He’s initially shy, but he warms up quickly and bonds deeply with his humans. Once you’re “his person,” you’re his whole world.

He likes kids, but doesn’t want to live with them. Arthur requires a home with children 12+, and in households with teens, he prefers a calm environment rather than one with friends constantly coming and going. His ideal match? Empty nesters or adults who enjoy walks, weekend adventures, and a peaceful home — not a party house.

House trained and kennel trained!!

Arthur is not a great fit for apartment living. He takes his self-appointed “neighborhood watch” duties seriously and can be vocal when he sees something “suspicious.”

This sweet boy truly is one of the most loving companions you could ask for. His previous family adored him, and because of the care and stability they provided, we know exactly what he thrives with — including the fact that a busy home with young kids just isn’t for him. His foster family is committed to keeping him as long as it takes to find the perfect forever match… because he absolutely deserves it.

If you think you can give Arthur his happily-ever-after this holiday season, apply at:
adoptapal.org/adopt
