Armie's Story

Armie and her sister were found abandoned in a cartoon box on the army base area in Puerto Rico when they were just around 8 weeks old. They were in pretty bad shape. Luckily a good Samaritan decided to give them a chance. Once they recovered and gained some weight they got on a freedom flight to Colorado to find better future.

Armie is a very sweet and social puppy. We are so happy that the hard start top her life did not make her scared of people. She loves to play with other dogs, wrestle, chase or play a thug war, but she is easy going. Armie is curious, very interested in any sort of treats and learns quickly. She also loves to cuddle with her human or with her sister next to fireplace. She has experienced her first snow and, despite her Caribbean blood, it was a true joy!

Currently Armie sleeps with her sister in a separate room, very quiet all night, does well on leash and is learning good potty habits. She is up to date on her vaccinations, waiting spay and microchipping.

Usually, satos (homeless dogs from Puerto Rico) are a mix of many breeds, some chihuahua, some pit and you name it! By they are always loving and grateful. We do not know what breed mix Armie is, but due to her small size we think she may be a mix of predominantly chihuahua. at ~3MO she weights only 8.5 lb. We anticipate she will remain small, under 25lb when full grown.

If you are interested in adopting this pup, please fill out the application here:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BSCO/Dog
----------------------------------------------

We ask for a $400 donation as the adoption fee, to help cover the costs of medical services and transport. We are however willing to accept a lesser amount to finalize the adoption with appropriate applicant.
