Arlo's Story

Meet Arlo: The Stray Dog Strut King with Circus-Level Hops!

Arlo is a possible one-year-old, with energy more like seven months, sweetheart who is turning his second chance into a success story. Once a stray, he is now learning what it means to be a loved, well-mannered dog and he is making great progress.

This handsome boy already knows sit, down, off, come, and more, and he continues to improve every day. Potty training is coming along well, and Arlo sleeps through the night in his crate without accidents. He currently thrives on a structured routine of two hours in and one hour out, which helps him stay calm and focused.

Arlo is playful, athletic, and full of personality. He is not aggressive, but he is a talented treat stealer and will happily test boundaries if food is involved. He also takes his job as home security seriously and may bark when new people enter. Once he settles, he becomes relaxed, affectionate, and very cuddly.

This boy has BIG energy and BIG jumps, reminding us of a circus dog balancing on beach balls. Arlo loves long walks, enrichment games, and mental challenges. Because of his athleticism and enthusiasm, he needs a patient, committed adopter with a securely fenced yard. He does well with baths and car rides, too.

Arlo is dog friendly but can be jealous and overly excited when competing for attention. So structure, consistency and breaks when over stimulated are a MUST

He currently has a 43-lb sister and two Westie cousins that he plays with often.

Arlo is a dog with incredible potential who simply needs the right environment to keep thriving. With patience, boundaries, and continued positive training, he will be a loyal, fun, and deeply rewarding companion.

If you are looking for an energetic, smart, and loving dog ready to leap into his next chapter, Arlo is waiting.
