Arlo's Story

Arlo came to us as a very timid boy, and the shelter environment has been a lot for him to take in. Because of this, he's looking for a quiet, understanding home where he can truly decompress and start to feel safe. A home without young children and preferably without other animals will give Arlo the space he needs to build confidence at his own pace. He'll need a patient adopter who can give him time, consistency, and gentle reassurance as he learns that the world isn't such a scary place. While he may be reserved at first, Arlo has a very loving heart. Once he warms up, he absolutely melts for affection and especially loves belly rubs. Arlo is also Heartworm positive and will be treated through HSNMB.

To meet Arlo, please call 843-249-4948 to schedule an appointment, or you can submit an application at https://humanesocietynmb.org/dog-adoption-form/

If you are interested in fostering Arlo, please submit a foster application at https://humanesocietynmb.org/be-a-foster-caregiver/
