Arlo #5's Story

Arlo #5 is on the smaller side with shorter legs. He is around 2 years old and 48 lbs. He loves to play with Polly and they get along really well. He seems to be a happy go lucky kind of dog. He was in a high kill shelter and on his last days when we got him. If you are interested in Arlo please fill out an application at Labs4rescue.com.

July 28, 2025 Update from Arlo's Foster Mom: "Everyone who sees Arlo comments on how adorable he is. He's a social butterfly and loves meeting people but sometimes jumps up on them in his excitement. Arlo is super affectionate, has never had a potty accident, is crate trained and sleeps quietly all night in his crate.. Loud noises, thunder and lightning, and fireworks don't bother him, he sleeps through it all. He is food motivated and takes treats gently, so he's easy to train. Arlo has no food aggression, and he loves riding in the car and going on outings and hikes. He walks nicely with the help of a Harness Lead, but he has a very strong prey drive and will pull hard if he sees a squirrel or other critter. Arlo enjoys being with other dogs: running, chasing, and tumbling with them, but he is sometimes reactive to other male dogs, so it would be best if he was in a home as an only dog or with only female dogs. He loves chew toys and squeaky toys. and would be happiest in a home with a family who isn't gone for long periods, and a physically fenced yard because of his strong prey drive."

For additional information about Arlo #5 please email Marla Cox: mclabs4rescue@gmail.com

Arlo #5 is being fostered in New England.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We receive many questions about our adoption process from potential adopters, most of which can be answered by viewing our "Adopt a Lab" page on our full service website, (https://labs4rescue.com/adopt).
