ARIEL's Story

Ariel is a 10 week old, 13 pound shepherd/hound mix. Fully vetted for her age and social. She is a true puppy at heart; loving, playful, snuggly and a menace to shoes everywhere. Contact brandy3dogsrescue@gmail.com for more information and possibly to set up a meeting.

October 2016 - On a long road in the middle of the woods sits a trailer in ill repair. Empty hog barns, chicken coups and a huge trash pile adorned the property. The smell of rotting flesh filled the air. A welcoming committee waited to greet visitors at the gate. Ten dogs of all shapes and sizes were happy to welcome the company holding a large bag of food. Through the window of the trailer, many, many more furry faces peeking out. In all, there are over twenty dogs/puppies living on the property, but even the owner was unsure exactly how many. After a long conversation with the owner of the dogs she agreed to surrender most of these dogs who have never seen a vet, never had vaccines, covered in fleas and living with eye and ear infections. There are probably other easily detectable issues but without a doubt, the rescuer was overwhelmed. It was surprised at how cordial all of the dogs were; they accepted strangers without question. Each and every one would make a great companion for someone. In their current condition they are merely surviving, and from the odor detected not all of them were able to do that. These handsome animals did not choose to be born in their situation. Help us help them find the home they deserve.

The first step is an online application at www.3dogsrescue.com under the forms tab. An application does not guarantee adoption, but merely alerts the rescue to a serious inquiry for adoption and begins the process. Once in, an adoption coordinator will be in touch.

Our Mission
We believe rescue is traumatic and often an overload on an animal who relies heavily upon their senses. No matter what the dog’s origin, the past was their home and was what they knew. Rescue pulls the animal from a familiar place, vets, spays and neuters, puts them in vehicles, crates and kennels, and immediately places th...
