Ariel's Story

Meet Ariel - the tiny chaos gremlin with a heart of gold!

Ariel is a baby genius in training, currently sitting at a solid 50% potty-trained (that's like... halfway to prodigy status). When she first arrived, she only went potty four times a day - easy peasy. Now she's realizing she can pee more often and, well... practice makes perfect! Luckily, she's a polite little lady who mostly uses her pee pads like a champ while she gets the hang of the whole "outside" thing and the mysterious bell everyone keeps expecting her to ring.

This girl LOVES cheese - goat cheese to be exact - and will happily work for it like a tiny dairy-powered scholar. She prefers to eat at the big-dog food station (because she is, in fact, a big girl in her mind). She and her foster brother each have their own dining side, and she knows exactly which one is hers. Very official. Very gourmet.

Ariel is also discovering the joys of enrichment: puzzles = yes, snuffle mat = ...she thinks it's a tug toy. We're working on it.

What she really loves?
Couch life - she's making up for lost time.
Zoomies - the zoom-and-pounce combo is her signature move.
Parkour - specifically off the couch.
Toy selection - she digs through the toy box like she's choosing the perfect outfit, and always picks the toys her foster dog has played with. #SiblingsBeLike

She's also becoming quite the confident girl: up and down the stairs like a pro, no more doorway hesitations, and she rocked her first professional pedicure while charming new humans with her sweetness.

Training-wise?
She has mastered "Sit" (verbal + hand cue!) and offers it constantly because treats are life. "Stay"? Well... we are trying. But standing still is hard when you have Important Puppy Business.

Ariel is playful, silly, snuggly, resilient, and full of personality. She's working hard to win over her foster dog (he's tolerating her longer and longer - progress!). Think of her as the adorable, persistent little sister from a '90s sitcom... very "Urkel energy," if you know, you know.

If you're looking for a fun, quirky, lovable pup who's ready for adventures, couch naps, and cheese-powered training sessions, Ariel is your girl.

California Bully Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our adoption coordinator will reach out and request the following items: proof of landlord approval if you rent, proof of residency, picture of your ID, copy of your HOI policy if you own. 4. Next step is a virtual home check and (2) reference checks. 5. (a) Once all that is complete, we will schedule a meet and greet. If you have a dog(s), we will schedule the first meet and greet with HUMANS ONLY. It’s important for people to get to know the dog without a new dog influencing how the dog you seek to adopt will behave. After this meet, we ask that you sleep on it and let us know the next day if you want to continue with adopting. 5. (b) If you have a dog(s) and you want to proceed with adopting the dog, we will schedule a second meet and greet for the dogs to meet. The dogs will do a pack walk together. If either your dog(s) or the dog you are seeking to adopt does great with other dogs, but is reactive at first, we will do a minimum of (3) dog-to-dog meet and greets with an experienced handler or trainer present. 6. If you wish to continue after meet and greets have been conducted and we believe you to be a fit as well, we will complete a background check that requires a non-refundable $100 deposit. This deposit will go towards your adoption fee, if you pass and are chosen for adoption. 7. Once all checks and meet and greets are completed and you are approved for adoption, we will collect the remainder of the adoption fee and schedule your pick up for the dog. Our process is designed to ensure our dogs end up in their forever home, we believe that if a family is the right fit and they truly want to add one of our dogs to their family, they will be willing to go through our process.
