Archie is a 4 month old male (Standard) Cavapoo puppy who currently weighs 15 lbs. He will likely be around 30 lbs. when full grown. His birthdate is 5/17/26.<br/><br/>ARCHIE SHEDS (Light to Moderate). AND IS NOT HYPOALLERGENIC. He appears to have inherited more of the Cavalier breed traits! <br/><br/>He came to us as an owner surrender, through no fault of his own. Their other dog was not happy about sharing his home so the family decided it was best for Archie to be re-homed. <br/><br/>Archie is up to date on vaccines, HW/Flea/Tick prevention. He will need to be neutered at 6 months. He’s already scheduled for his neuter in November at Midwest Vet Hospital and Dogs Unlimited will cover the cost. <br/><br/>Archie is your typical, adorable, sweet puppy with all the behaviors that go with being 4 months old. He is full of energy and puppy antics including nipping, jumping, play biting, and wanting to chew on anything and everything within his reach. We have been working with a trainer to help Archie learn his good boy manners through positive reinforcement. He’s making good progress! Lots of consistency and patience required! He’s smart and treat motivated. He’s learning commands including come, sit, down. <br/><br/>He’s also making good progress on his house training. He needs to stay on a schedule with close supervision between potty breaks.<br/><br/>He walks on leash in the yard. We have yet to venture out for longer walks but will start soon! <br/><br/>REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:<br/>• a home with securely fenced yard. No electric/invisible fences and no apartments.<br/>• a home with another dog who is playful and well-mannered. <br/><br/>Archie is crate trained and sleeps in his crate through the night for 8 hours. He keeps his crate dry. During the daytime, the maximum time he can be crated without a potty break is 4 hours. <br/><br/>Archie has been around kids ages 8 and up. He still nips and jumps so a home with kids over the age of 6 would probably be best.<br/><br/>Will need regular brushing 2-3 times a week. And professional grooming a minimum of every 2 months.<br/><br/>Local adoptions only, within a one hour driving distance of the Cleveland, OH area.
