Archie's Story
Meet Archie πΎ

Archie is a handsome 1-year-old Coonhound with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life! This loving, cuddly boy is bursting with energy, curiosity and affection. He is a very intelligent boy who learns quickly especially when treats are involved.π²π

Like many young dogs, Archie is still learning about the world and he can become overwhelmed and react to stimuli such as other dogs, vehicles and cyclists. He will do best in a patient, calm and structured home with predictable routines who will train him using positive reinforcement techniques. This will help him to build the confidence and good habits that will help him to thrive. With consistency, plenty of physical and mental exercise, and lots of positive guidance, he has all the potential to grow into an amazing and loyal companion.

Archie does react to other dogs and would likely do best as the only pet but he has shown signs that he could move to a home with another well-matched, confident dog. Archie gets car sick and can become stressed on car rides. He has responded really well to taking medication for any vehicle journeys and may continue to require travel medication into adulthood.

Archie LOVES affection and has completely stolen the hearts of the staff at the shelter and his snuggle sessions have been a joy for everyone at the shelter team. If you're looking for an adventurous, spirited dog who's ready to learn and grow with you, Archie might be your perfect match! πΆβ¨

Think you could be Archie's person?
