Archie's Story

I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more here4 years old and 61 pounds, handsome Archie is affectionate to his core. He'll rest his head right in your hands and settle into pets for as long as you'll give them. He's food motivated, takes treats with a soft mouth, and picks up new skills fast. Sit, down, shake, touch, off, leave it, he knows them all and loves showing off.

Archie is an easy roommate: house trained, comfortable settling down on his own for a few hours, and not a big barker. New places take him a minute to warm up to, so he does best with adopters who go slow, use plenty of encouragement, and keep things calm while he settles in. Archie would love a person who's up for a walk or a short hike and can keep training fun with rewards along the way.

He's doing great in his foster home with a small resident dog. He'd thrive as the only pet or paired with a calm, well matched dog friend, and does best without feline roommates. His foster says it best: out of 14 dogs she's fostered, Archie is her favorite!

Meet Archie and see for yourself what a sweetheart he is.
