Aquamarine's Story

Aquamarine is a sweet little lady that gets along well with people and other small, mellow dogs. At 12 years old and 8lbs, she enjoys short walks and lots of naps. She has a mild heart murmur, collapsed trachea, bilateral luxating patella, weak hips, and is missing her right eye. Because of her weak hips, she has trouble going up/down stairs and jumping up/down from furniture – don’t worry, she’ll bark to let you know that she needs assistance.

Aquamarine enjoys sunbathing in her foster family's backyard while they play piano or chill with her. She loves to tip-tap her feet as a dance when she is excited. Aquamarine especially loves to follow you around nap near you, no matter what you are doing! She is great in the car and knows to chill in her car seat or her person's lap. She is very easy to cuddle and loves to snuggle up for a good movie. Aquamarine is sweet to other animals and people; her current home has older children, and she loves to be pet by them. Aquamarine is working on potty training at the moment and prefers to have access to her area so that she can go as she pleases (she tends to go out every couple of hours). She is pretty quiet, except for the occassional awoooo when she wants to get up on the couch or go up the stairs. Aquamarine is so easy to love, and she has the most beautiful way of showing you how much she loves you. She is incredibly sweet and gets great pleasure from being loved by her family!
