April's Story

Meet April - the Sweetest Spring Bloom!
April is a gentle 1-year-old mixed-breed pup with a tender heart and a story that shows just how resilient love can be. She was found abandoned in the woods of a rural area, scared and unsure of the world around her. But the moment she met her finder - who works at our vet clinic - something clicked. April trusted her right away and even followed her home, beginning her journey to safety.

Now in her foster home, April is quickly coming out of her shell. She adores gentle pets, tasty treats, and all the affection you can spare. She's a total pro on the leash and has already earned the title of Couch Cuddle Champion. April sleeps quietly in her crate, has perfect house manners, and politely ignores her foster momma's kitties - truly the ideal house guest.

April is looking for a forever family who can offer her patience, kindness, and a soft place to land. With just a little love, she blossoms beautifully.

If you're ready to help this special girl continue her journey, April is waiting to meet you.

Fill out our short match me form to be connected with April at
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CAST/Dog

April is fully vaccinated, heart-worm negative, spayed and microchipped! So all you need to provide is the love.

Our adoption fee is a minimum $150 tax deductible donation. All donations are used for rescue and medical care of animals in need. C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
All animals are spayed / neutered before they are available for adoption. This helps reduce pet overpopulation in the Ozarks - the highest in the country. Each animal is current on vaccinations. Both dogs and cats must receive three total sets of vaccinations to prevent deadly animal diseases. All animals at C.A.R.E. are kept current on their vaccinations while in our care (All animals are vaccinated for Bordetella or "kennel cough", DA2PPV, CVK-puppies, DA2PPV, Lepto-adult dogs, FVRCP-C-kittens & adult cats). Dogs and cats above the age of 12 weeks old also receive their rabies shots and are sent home with a rabies certificate, collar, & rabies tag. If a puppy or kitten is adopted before they have received the total three vaccinations, it is the responsibility of the adopter to provide them. Each animal has been dewormed and treated for fleas. Worms are parasites that can cause serious damage to your pet. C.A.R.E. deworms all of the animals in our care.
