Meet April — An Unbelievable Sweetheart!<br/><br/>April came to Underdog Rescue of Florida in a heartbreaking condition, severely emaciated. Thanks to her amazing foster, she has made incredible progress and blossomed into the sweet girl she was always meant to be!<br/><br/>At 10 years old and now weighing about 35 pounds, April is healthy, has plenty of pep in her step, and absolutely loves spending time with her people. <br/><br/>We can only imagine the hardships April endured before coming into rescue. We suspect she experienced neglect and possibly abuse, as she still carries some of that uncertainty with her. She loves being part of the action but tends to hang back a little, watching from the sidelines until she feels safe. With simple kindness, regular meals, and lots of love, she has learned to wag her tail, enjoy herself, and show her playful side.<br/><br/>April is truly a diamond in the rough! <br/><br/>At her age, she deserves a soft place to land, a loving home, and someone who will show her that the world can be a wonderful place. She is up to date on her veterinary care, has good teeth, a great appetite, and is fully potty trained to go outdoors. She is comfortable around both dogs and cats, and there has never been any indication of aggression.<br/><br/>April has come so far, and now it’s time for her to find the loving home she deserves.
