April's Story

Hi, I am April, I am a super sweet little girl with the coolest patch over my bright, blue eye! My photo makes me look bigger and more serious than I am…I still a floppy, soft puppy!! I have such an even keeled personality and am up for anything. Hanging out and playing with people? That’s my FAVORITE thing! I am extremely human focused. I love playing with the little kids in my home, then chilling next to them on the couch, chewing a bone in the evenings. My foster family have great laps to sleep on. I love cuddling!

I enjoying playing with my siblings and the other adult dogs in the house. Sometimes my siblings and I team up for a great game of tug-o-war with one of the adult dogs in the home. It is so fun!

I was born on October 19th and am now 12 weeks old. I am came to Colorado from a high-kill shelter in Houston, TX when I was 4 weeks old with my mama and siblings. I have been socialized with people ever since. Did I mention I am a super smart girl? I am already crate trained and working hard on house breaking. I already use the dog door.

My mama is just 45lbs, so I will probably be around a 50lb medium sized dog. And as for my breed? Well, my mama is a red headed shepherd/pittie mix…maybe? I defintely have some pittie traits in my face! It is all a guessing game really though. My foster mom says we are perfect Heinz 57 dogs!

I really want my forever home so I can start bonding with my new humans or any new dog or cat siblings that may be there too. Is that your home?

April is being fostered in Castle Rock, Colorado.

*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.*

You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/april/.

You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.
