Apple's Story

Meet Apple!

Apple is a 1.5 year old border collie mix who first came to us from Western WA in October 2024. His approximate DOB is 08/10/24 and he weighs 33.2 lbs. He was returned to us earlier this year through no fault of his own and is now looking for a new forever family!

For the last couple of months, Apple has been thriving with his amazing foster family. He currently lives with two adult humans and another dog. His foster reports that he is a very snuggly boy who loves to cuddle with both his humans and his foster sister. He sleeps through the kennel at night, walks well on leash, and loves a good tug toy. He is food motivated when he is comfortable but takes time to adjust to a new environment--change is hard! One thing Apple does struggle with is demand barking, and so we are hoping to find an adopter who can continue to provide structure and not reinforce his attention-seeking woofs. He has made great progress with his foster family--in the words of his foster parents, "Watching him grow more comfortable and start to share his personality with us has been such a privilege. Once he knows he is safe and cared for, he is a sweet, playful, chaotic little gremlin dog who is fun to play with, walk, and train."

If you are interested in adding some more Apple to your life, fill out an APPLE-cation at https://forms.gle/ZvvQobuhgmkU5AJEA!

=================================================

***WE DO NOT RESPOND TO PETFINDER INQUIRIES OR PHONE CALLS, ONLY EMAILS.***

If you have any additional questions, or would like to adopt a pup, send us an email at adoptions@rhas.love and we will send you an adopter survey. Please note that we are a foster to adopt only rescue. As a foster, you get to "test drive" your chosen dog to make sure it's a good fit prior to adoption. We want you and the dog to have the best fit possible!

Resilient Hearts is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue in Seattle, WA. 100% of adoption fees go towards helping us save more high-risk animals, and unite them with their forever families in the PNW!
