APPA's Story

Appa is a staff and volunteer favorite. He is currently our longest stay at PAWS and has been in our care for over a year. Fortunately, he's been spending some time in a foster home, but Appa deserves to live out his golden years with a permanent family. <br/><br/>Appa is the ultimate couch potato and a very smart boy. He's completley housebroken, knows commands, and loves to give hugs and kisses. This lovable sweetheart is looking for a pet-free family where he can have all the love to himself! Appa doesn't require a super active lifestyle-just endless treats, belly rubs, and some quality snuggle time. While he can't airbend like his namesake, he can certainly steal your heart with his loving, laid-back nature.

Completed applications may be emailed to adopt@pawsshelter.org. If you are interested in adopting a new pet, PAWS will help find a match for you. All that we ask is that you give our animals happy, loving forever homes. We encourage you to talk to our staff about the kind of pet you are looking for. They know the animals and will help you find your personality match. If you find a dog or cat that you like, then we encourage you to spend some time bonding with them before you make up your mind. We have special areas at the shelter where you can walk and play with them to get to know them better.
