He once rode shotgun in a semi-truck, but now his owner’s overtime workdays leave Apollo mostly home alone and he’s giving his status the “thumbs down” on his Muzzlebook page.<br/><br/>He does best with a steady mix of care and activity. Ideally, Apollo would receive 4-5 outdoor breaks per day, neighborhood walks on a harness and some yard play. He is spring-loaded and a climber, so supervised outside time and a six-foot fence would check a couple more of his boxes.<br/><br/>Apollo has lived peacefully with a larger dog and two cats, but his behavior is still untested around small dogs. Older kids (10+) are a good match for his size and play. He free-roams rather than crating and uses prescribed medication during thunderstorms.<br/><br/>Since his shift to solitude, Apollo’s person has tried the right things—mid-shift potty breaks, a snug anxiety hoodie, belly bands and a comprehensive vet check. Apollo is physically healthy; he just needs more daily contact. So, it’s time to help him find that.<br/><br/>With more activities (cuddles, fetch, shredding stuffed toys and road trips), his emotional health is expected to improve by leaps and bounds.
